The "Hublot Loves Football" experience is a groundbreaking digital initiative by Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot, created in partnership with stadium architects MEIS and metaverse platform Spatial. Unveiled in the metaverse, this project introduces the 'Hublot Loves Football Metaverse Stadium,' a virtual, hybrid sports, art, and digital events space that can accommodate up to 90,000 spectators. The stadium design is inspired by the distinctive elements of Hublot’s Big Bang e watch, specifically its case body and digital face.
Visitors can explore the 1-kilometer stadium, the largest venue ever constructed in the Spatial metaverse, in a 360-degree virtual experience. The stadium is designed to be accessible for free via mobile, desktop, or Oculus headset. This digital landmark aims to symbolize the intersection of luxury, fashion, sport, and virtual worlds, reflecting Hublot's bold design approach and its commitment to unifying people through the love of football.
The stadium also includes a kilometer-long concourse and media wall. As a part of the experience, visitors will find exhibitions dedicated to the 'Hublot Loves Football' campaign equipped for VR access to the stadium near Hublot Boutiques in various luxury shopping malls in Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. These exhibitions are scheduled to open in November.
The 'Hublot Loves Football Metaverse Stadium' serves as a testament to Hublot's innovative spirit and is a continuation of their early adoption of crypto technology, which was seen when they released a limited-edition watch only purchasable through Bitcoin in 2018. As a whole, this experience signifies Hublot's entry into the realm of the metaverse, offering a fresh, immersive way to engage with the brand and its love for football.
