In Triangle Island players can search around for clues that might tip you off to the next item the company was releasing.
In addition, Doritos did a real-world contest called the Triangle Tracker where players could win up to $250k. (None of this is in conjunction with Epic Games, this is something Frito-Lay's and PepsiCo are doing on their own.)
Three mini-games :
- Nacho Usual Spleef : Players dropped into a Nacho Cheese bag, competing to stay on the highest level of chip floors.
- Spicy Sweet Chiliwars : With a spicy sweet chili twist on bed wars, players worked to defend their chips and eliminate others.
- Doritos Crash Course Deathrun : This 10-level Deathrun showcased different products from the Doritos portfolio while paying homage to the original Doritos Crash Course game from 2010. An Easter egg level even hinted at the next big Doritos product.
How fans can start tracking:
- Weekly TikTok Challenges: Doritos issued weekly challenges with a chance to win $15,000 Triangle Finder's Fees. It wasn’t just a game of luck; Doritos encouraged boldness. Only those who found the biggest, most creative, and coolest triangles in the world and posted their submissions on TikTok took home these rewards.
- Triangle Tracker AR Lens: The first-of-its-kind Triangle Tracker AR Lens on Snapchat unlocked opportunities to win every day. By pointing their phone at any triangle in the real world with the AR lens, Snapchat's Machine Learning technology recognized it and turned it into a Doritos chip. Some triangles unlocked surprises like Doritos products and merch, while others unlocked higher-tier rewards, including the grand prize of $250,000.

- Big Brand Partnerships : Fans were encouraged to take another look at the logos of brands they knew and loved. By scanning brand logos like Xbox, Vivid Seats, and Guess, they unlocked epic prizes.
- Triangles on TVs : Doritos teamed up with rapper Offset of the chart-topping Migos to kickstart the Triangle Tracker in a major way at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on August 28. Special triangles appeared when the Doritos Extended Play Stage was on, giving viewers a chance to win tickets to the next year's MTV VMAs.
- Building Takeovers : Doritos transformed three iconic triangular buildings across the United States into larger-than-life Doritos chips. Fans were encouraged to visit, snap a selfie with the buildings in NYC (West 57th Street), Memphis (Bass Pro Shop), and Atlanta (101 Marietta), and post on TikTok for their chance to win $15,000.
